Molybdenum Dialkyldithiocarbamate(MODTC) is an important class of friction modifiers and extreme pressure agents. The organic molybdenum is dissolved in various lubricants in a liquid form, so that the lubricating component forms a physical and chemical adsorption film having friction reducing and anti-wearing effects on the friction surface under mild working conditions. Adding 0.5% to 1.0% oil-soluble organic molybdenum (in terms of molybdenum) to advanced lubricants is an effective way to improve fuel economy, durability and durability. Molybdenum dialkyl dithiocarbamate (MoDTC) is a highly competitive product in the organic molybdenum series. Lubrication mechanism of MoDTC
Lubricating oil consists of  base oil and a series of additives that form a specific adsorption film on the friction surface in the boundary lubrication and mixed lubrication conditions. Among them, sulfur is an antioxidant, and a high content of S is antioxidant at the molecular level from the inside, providing lubricating oil with oxidation stability. The thermal decomposition of MoDTC is an endothermic process that absorbs the transient high temperatures generated by metal contact friction, reduces oil temperature, protects lubricating oil quality, and extends oil change intervals.
