Product features:
(1) The range of excitation wavelength is wide and the range of emission wavelength is narrow. The same excitation light can be used to excite a variety of quantum dots at the same time and emit fluorescence of different wavelengths.Compared with the traditional fluorescent dye molecules, the range of excitation light wavelength of fluorescent dyes is narrow, which requires a variety of wavelengths of excitation light to stimulate a variety of fluorescent dyes, which brings a lot of inconvenience to the actual work.

(2) The emission peak is narrow and symmetrical with small overlap, while the emission peak of fluorescent dyes is not only wide but also asymmetric, with severe tail dragging, severe overlap and easy interference, which brings difficult problems to analysis and detection.

(3) The emission wavelength can be tuned by controlling its size and composition, and the required wavelength of quantum dots can be synthesized arbitrarily. The spectrum peak of quantum dots with uniform size is symmetric gaussian distribution.

(4) The fluorescence intensity and stability are about 100 times higher than that of ordinary fluorescent dyes, and the marked objects can be observed for a long time.

(5)After a variety of chemical modifications, quantum dots have good biocompatibility, can be specifically linked, and do little harm to organisms, and can be used to mark and detect living organisms. However, fluorescent dyes are generally more toxic and have poor biocompatibility.
